my take on local dirt track racing:

I just wanted to say that we were very pleased with the racing at Dixieland Dirt Track last weekend when we went up there. It was a surprising change from the last time we went up there. They actually had full classes and put on a good show for the fans. The stands were full and a good turnout in the pits. That was a big difference for the Cottonwood track. Anyone who got that track had a big job ahead them trying to overcome the bad reputation that track has had over the past few years, but Brad and Rickey are really doing a good job so far. Granted it helped a lot when Smokey Harris finally agreed to work with them and run every other weekend. It gave drivers a chance to run at both tracks and compete against more cars. I can only hope that things continue to improve and that the racing continues to get better. Great job to all involved :)
