#48 Jimmie Johnson will start on the pole for today's race since Tony Stewart crashed in practice. But hopefully Stewart can rebound again. Go Stewart :) Next week's race is at Watkins Glen, a dang old road course, don't like them. I like the round tracks.

DIXIELAND DIRT TRACK" www.dixielanddirt.com, Next weekend DDT will be running the Open Wheeled modifieds as well as their track sponsored Big Vintage race. Should be another great night of racing. We won't be able to be there as we have to cook Moose Burgers at the lodge but I really hope that they have a great turnout and wish we could be there. We will be cheering from a far. Good luck to all the drivers :)

News for the weekend of Aug 1st, 2009!

Dixieland Dirt track will not be running this weekend. They will run again on Aug 8th with the track sponsored Big Vintage Race $500.00 to win with 10 cars. And the Open wheeled modifieds will run that weekend.

Smokey Harris Speedway in Haleburg, AL will be running this weekend with a $1000.00 to win Latemodel race with a $50.00 entry and a 10 car minimum.

Mark your calender and plan on going to some great racing.

There are alot of motorcycle riders around our area who are also racers, so for this reason, I am going to start listing our motorcycle functions on this website also. Alot of us have gotten back into riding and it is alot of fun to get together and ride. So I will let everyone know what is going on around this area.
